Who we are

CHC was founded in 2010 by Angus Craig, BA Economics (Hons), FCIPS.

Angus has more than 20 years’ experience in procurement in both consultancy and industry roles. As a consultant with KPMG, he was involved in procurement for post merger integration (PMI), tactical cost reduction and strategic procurement transformation projects. Previously, Angus worked for Orange, where he was a key member of the post merger integration team following the acquisition by France Télécom, and HSBC, where he led the procurement activity for a number of IT and telecoms categories. He has also managed an operational team of 20 that provided process improvement and P2P support.

Angus’s career has spanned a broad range of sectors, including technology, utilities, transport, financial services, retail and manufacturing, and locations, with stints in the United States, France and Turkey. His areas of expertise include category management, operational management, digital procurement transformation, risk management, supplier relationship management and programme management. He also has an in-depth knowledge of the procurement of IT, telecoms and facilities management.

Angus believes passionately that procurement can make a significant difference to an organisation’s overall performance, and that mergers and acquisitions provide a great opportunity to demonstrate this in a short space of time. He enjoys finding out what makes a business tick and thrives on being thrown in at the deep end. He writes regularly on procurement matters and contributes to publications such as CPO Agenda and Supply Management.

Angus enjoys taking part in sports, regularly competing in running races. Most of his exercise, however, comes from chasing after his two energetic young sons.

What people say

“Angus was one of the first to recognise the opportunity for purchasing that the acquisition by France Telecom brought. He quickly showed that he was comfortable working with senior people from across the group and was promoted to Global Category Manager, where he led the development of category management across multiple countries. This ultimately resulted in his project being the first to be delivered, with great success. I have no hesitation in recommending Angus.”
